It was my 5 years training and then 35 year teaching career in the California State University System  and even now I work at home with students from around the world who work in our university program for the M.A. (Master of Arts in Humanities)  So it is still my work and love.    You sounded excited to learn that I was a priest.   Yes, I was a good Jesuit Priest for 11 years until I met my wife Annelie while I was teaching in Rome.

For 40 years, I have lots of connections with the famous Jesuit Order, particularly the large organized group of former members.   I knew personally and introduced my mother when she visited me in Rome, to the  admired Superior General of the whole Jesuit order, the Spanish Pedro Arupe,
who was not only a beloved missionary in Japan but a survivor of Hiroshima.
