including Buyer, Store Manager, VP of Administration, and finally Assistant to
the Chairman of the Board. In this capacity I was named as the first
Retail Ombudsman in the US. (Ombudsman, a Swedish word for problem

・With the Mayor of Napa , consulting business serving nonprofit
organizations. for a few years ・The California Trail Lawyers Association to manage the campaign
for the reelection of the California State Supreme Court Justices. ・a marketing position with the Oakland Athletics, a major league
baseball team. to develop a campaign for the National All Star game that was to
be held in Oakland that year.

After starting my career at Armstrong as the Director of Marketing, I subsequently
held the positions of Dean of Students, Vice President of Administration.
And Assistant to the President, then was selected by the Board of Directors
to be his successor as President.

During five years as President, I, along with the faculty and staff, created a new curriculum concentrating more in the areas of Business Administration, primarily in the Masters program. I spent a great deal of time traveling to other countries where the interest in Armstrong was the strongest. Several trips to China, Taiwan and Hong Kong, established relationships with other schools and colleges, significantly increasing student enrollment.
